Other than higher current consumption and the need for proper heat sinking, using a Luxeon LED is really not much different then using any other type of LED. You can drive Luxeon LEDs using traditional LED circuit designs, however it is highly recommended that a commercial driver or Pulse Width Modulation circuit be used for commercial applications.
