L2 3° Spot Base Module For Luxeon K2 LEDs

The L₂ 3° Spot Base Module has been specially designed for the Luxeon K2 line of LEDs and can be used on its own or with three different clip on diffuser lenses. By itself the Base Module will produce a 3° beam of light.

The Base Module does not require a holder as it includes a self-adhesive pad that is fastened directly to the PCB over the top of the K2 LED. This dramatically cuts down on assembly time and eliminates the need for external adhesives or fastening devices.

When combined with a Sub Lens, the Base Module can be used to produce narrow (6°), medium(12°) and oval (4°X24°) beams. The LED color will have a small effect on the illumination pattern, e.g., lenses used with non-white LEDs will produce a narrower beam of light.

All L₂ lenses are made of optical grade PMMA (acrylics) to ensure excellent optical properties as well as long-term material stability and durability and have an optical efficiency of at least 85%.
