The Polymer Optics 15 mm, hex shaped concentrator lens offers both a very compact footprint and > 85% transmission efficiency. The lens is mounted into a white, flat bottomed holder (Polymer part 180), making it very easy to secure the lens assembly directly to the PC board with glue or silicone RTV. Polymer optics are manufactured from lens quality polycarbonate

The flat bottom of the holder of this lens makes it ideally suited for fastening to the LED assembly using our using precision cut double-sided self adhesive tape.

The lens produces a 6 mm beam diameter 14.5 mm in front of the lens and is ideally suited for:

Beam insertion into optical fibre bundles
Beam insertion into the edge of lightguides
High intensity illumination of small objects for inspection and microscopy
